Astral Dojo
A downloadable asset pack
About
"In the void between stars, only the swift survive."
Astral dojo is a competitive, two-player tactical board game realized as a digital Tabletop Simulator experience. Players take turns moving across a modular space arena and engage in fast-paced confrontations where positioning, timing, and precision determine victory. The game combines simple but deep decision-making with dynamic movement and thrilling confrontations.
Gameplay
Tactical Movement
Players roll two six-sided dice to determine movement. If both dice show the same number, one can be treated as a 6 instead. Choose one die result to move that many squares. Movement can pass over obstacles, but a player cannot end on an obstacle. If you move onto your opponent’s square, you win immediately.
Dramatic Confrontations
If after moving you have a clear Line of Sight to your opponent, a confrontation is triggered. The unused die from movement represents the strength of your attack, while your opponent rolls one die to defend. The higher result wins the confrontation. Winning two confrontations secures victory in the match.
Strategic Repositioning
Losing a confrontation isn’t the end: you may roll two dice and combine their values to move up to that many squares. During this repositioning turn you cannot attack, allowing you to seek cover or improve your position for the next round.
Replayability
Experiment with the recommended arena layout, or create your own unique battlegrounds. The modular nature of the obstacles encourages creativity and ensures no two matches play out the same way. Symmetry might be advantageous for fairness!

How to Play in Tabletop Simulator
After downloading the files, the game must be set up manually in Tabletop Simulator. Create a Custom Game and import the provided assets into the scene. Once all elements are placed according to the example, the game is ready to be played. No additional scripting or programming is required.
To keep the download size small, each asset is included only once. After importing them into Tabletop Simulator, you are free to duplicate and scale the assets as needed to set up the complete game board. Just keep in mind that there is a material tab in the import menu, which might be interesting for some assets.
